46 Live is THON's official livestream team for the many celebrations leading up to and including the illustrious THON weekend. Since the fall of 2022, I've volunteered my efforts, becoming a dedicated crew member of the organization, trusted with the honor of directing the big weekend's Country Hour performance by Adam and the Armadillos.
Spearheaded by Diyani Clark, the various events from 100 days 'till THON to Family Carnival have tested and sharpened the members' comfort and understanding in building and operating a remote broadcast setup. I'm pleased with the work we've produced, and doing it all For The Kids surely doesn't hurt.
Our 2022 broadcast reached 200,000 unique viewers from over 80 countries, and the $15 million reveal was shown to 15,000 live viewers.
For the 2023-24 academic year, I'll be assuming the role of Tech Producer. Alongside educating the new members on how to staff all the crewed positions for THON and its related events, I am responsible for the setup and teardown of state-of-the-art blackmagic live stream equipment.
Day-of setup and the view from 46live's host booth and first floor slash camera.
For our first pre-THON event of THON 2024, the THON 5K, ran outside of the Bryce Jordan Center. Up at 6 AM on a Sunday, I joined the rest of the Senior Production team to build our stream next door to the event stage.
My thanks to Anderson Audio for DJing the event, and throwing us an audio out for the live stream.

For the big weekend, senior production was granted access to a brand new BlackMagic Constellation 8k, where we ran a nine-camera stream for the full 46 hours. Understanding how the frame sync keeps our varied inputs from tearing across one another and running returns back out to the cameras for tallying and program swapping. This was also our team's first time using a dedicated media player.
We streamed in Vimeo's Livestream Studio. The production was opened over 200,000 times across 50,000 unique screens.
As a sidenote, PSNtv raised $4,900 for the kids, a landmark for the club, made possible by THON chair Nick Volpe, and top donators Sarah Schultz, and Emma Goldkoph.
