September 15th marked the beginning of my time directing the Centre County Report (on a three week rotation). The course encapsulates a weekly newscast broadcast to cable networks in State College, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia. Hand picked through dozens of applicants, I was able to make the cut alongside five other Telecomm students. Directing After the Whistle in the same studio for the past year helped me establish a sense of familiarity and comfortability to my on-camera talent, producer, and studio crew.
Hopefully I can update this page with examples of newscasts that have received recognition from BEA, and other broadcast awards societies.
